We were incredibly lucky to have been invited by Sandals International to participate in a familiarization trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica back in 2018.
We paid for our plane tickets from Barbados to Jamaica, however, Sandals provided us with an all expense paid stay at their Montego Bay and South Coast resorts.

Would you recommend using a scooter to get around the island as you get on your feet? I’ve been a few times and plan to go there and rent for a little while before fully committing and shipping over my car and household goods. Thanks!
Im not sure I would recommend as main transport as some drivers are a bit wild on the road!
@@WanderingBajans that’s fair. They are quite wild. I was thinking of it as more of an interim mode of transportation when the public transport doesn’t suffice, just for a few months while I prepare my things to ship over. Thank you!

I'm glad I found your videos. In my 60s im feeling Barbados and Holetown is the only place I'd want to spend winter months from Canada. Especially Sunset Crest. I hope to be there one of these days soon. I just didn't realize this video was 4 years old!!

Hi Amanda, thank you so much! There are so many taxi operators on the island. Also, most taxis are independently operated and not so much a Company. I'd recommend you try using the app pickUP. It's the UBER of taxis in Barbados.
